Home Energy Scotland · Boiler Upgrade Scheme
Up to £9,000* towards an air source heat pump
Scottish homeowners can claim a substantial grant towards a renewable heating system. The funding is arranged by you — and as MCS-certified installers, we provide the survey, design and fixed-price quote you need to claim it.
How the grant works
The Home Energy Scotland Grant and Loan — part of the UK-wide Boiler Upgrade Scheme — helps homeowners replace fossil-fuel heating with a clean, efficient heat pump. You can claim up to £9,000* as a grant you never repay (a standard grant plus a rural and island uplift), with an optional interest-free loan available to spread any remaining cost.
Why now is the time
With oil and LPG prices volatile, and the grant covering a large share of a typical install, the payback on switching has never been stronger — especially for off-grid homes across Banffshire and the wider North-East. Pair your heat pump with solar thermal and the savings grow further.
How we help
The grant funding is arranged by you, the homeowner, directly with Home Energy Scotland. We make that simple: we carry out a free home survey, design the right system for your property, and give you the MCS-certified, fixed-price quote you need to apply — and we are always happy to point you in the right direction.
